brought back car 21 hours early and was still charged as if I brought it back three hours late a day laterthey are rip off do not use them that is why they are called advantage they take advantage of people Add comment

Made a reservation with Advantage a couple of months ago and when I arrived at the airport in Dallas, they had no cars. I made a reservation at the airport desk and was quoted $105./day for a mini SUV. I was told there would be a $200.00 Deposit place on my credit card. I agreed and took the shuttle to pick up my car. Good day I rented a car from 7-31-14 to 8-3-14 and was charged 60 bucks because the attendant said she smelled smoke. I just pulled up and while waiting for an attendant lit a cigarette on the premises. Worst car rental experience of my life. My son looked up quotes online and we showed a quote to the clerk to see if they would match the price. She said that she would be able to match the price but after fees and taxes the price went back up to her original quote. This happened even though the online quote included all taxes and fees. My wife and I arrived at Airport Advantage Rent A Car located at Dulles Airport and rented a car for 2 days to return it at the same airport before taking a plane out of Dulles at 6:30AM. Traveled to Maui with my wife and a child. Booked a car online for $180 for 6 days. Got to the airport and waited 5 min to get the shuttle, once I got to the office I waited 15 min. This was the worst car rental experience I ever had, possibly the worst purchase in my life. 1. Called upon arrival as instructed. When I realized i was running late (It's an airport), I called to confirm that I was coming and was assured it was not problem. I showed up about an hour late and they had given my car away. I made the reservation on-line at advantage's website (not through a 3d party) but due to a military commitment, I was not able to make the trip with my husband.
