While I didn’t read the final print out, even while the agent highlighted the additional fee for an upgrade that I did not request, because I was foolishly trusting. When I ask why it was higher because my daily fee was only $11.82, yet the total before adding an extra day came to $77.26, the agent merely said that it was the airport taxes; which is why the agent told me that I did not need to take out my printed confirmation because she had everything in her computer, but if I had taken that paper out like I usually do, she would have had to delete an upgrade I never request. Is this how the LAX airport area office cheats and robs people who are trusting? BEWARE AND READ YOUR PRINT-OUT TWICE SLOWLY TO VERIFY THAT THERE ARE NO ADD ON ADDITIONAL COST THAT YOU DO NOT REQUEST. |

Written by Mike McAllister on December 18, 2010 from new york, new york, US After booking my car rental on orbitz I was forced to pay an additional 130 dollars for loss of use insurance to rent the car for 6 days or . Advantage said if I damage their car they would loose daily rental on the vehicle every day it is in the shop. Advantage said it is a practice stated by their parent company Hertz and Advantage is obligated to also charge the fees. This is a deceptive marketing practice and there are laws to fight companies that have illegal practices. I encourage all victims to contact their state attourney generals to investigate Advantage and Hertz's influence on their marketing scams |
