I recently rented car fro 4 days from Advantage in SLC. Been renting from there for many years off and on. Agents were somewhat rude when i picked up car and they tried to stick it to me when i mentioned adding one day to my rental they wanted to double my rate for the entire rental period despite my guarenteed rate for the first 3 days. Anyway the biggest issue was after i returned the car and was told nothing about any problems they decided after the fact to charge me an extra 50$ for clening, I was at Capitol Reef park and there was some minor dirt and mud in drivers side floor mat and dust and mud around wheel flaps dur to dusty and windy conditions on some dirt roads. Bottom line nothing to justify 50$ not to mention they mentioned nothing at the time of return nor did they call to inform of problem. Manager was an *** when i called about it he even said "I wish I could charge you $200", his name is Bryce. I have filed claim with CC company and am sure they will credit my account and go after ARAC. DON'T RENT FROM ADVANTAGE 12803c3

As a business whose rented many cars, I think that it's always a good policy to return the car in the same condition you picked it up. Sounds like ARC was charging you for the labor and cleaning supplies plus having the car unavailable while the cleaning was being done. $50 sounds like you got away with a heck of a deal.
